19th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival set for Sat., March 8

Join the Friendly Sons and Daughters of Ireland, the Port St. Lucie Community Redevelopment Agency and the City of Port St. Lucie Parks and Recreation Department for the 19th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival & Parade on Sat., March 8.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. on Veterans Memorial Highway. It ends in Lyngate Park where the festival begins at noon.   It will kick off with a step-dancing display by the Rondeau School of Irish Dance.  Authentic Irish food, beer, and music will be served in the 40' x 80' main event tent where Irish music, singing and dancing will be in abundance!

An Irish marketplace will magically appear in the center of Lyngate Park from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., offering traditional arts & crafts, food vendors, and public information booths.  Plus, live music and entertainment for the Leprechaun Village, located at the playground.   A bounce house, obstacle course and slide will be provided free for the children. Free arts & crafts and fun photo opportunities as well.

Special guests this year will be the acclaimed Lahinch Mob Band and Noel Kingston.

The event is free to the public, and there will be many opportunities to win prizes, play games, and simply enjoy a day in the park.  For more information, call (772) 878-2277.
