Community Garage Sale

Event info: Find a bargain at this great monthly event or reserve a parking spot and unload all of your unwanted "treasures." Event is free to shoppers. Vendors pay only $6.40 per parking spot (in advance of the garage sale) to reserve a spot.

Art Gallery

Gallery hours: Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The Art Gallery is closed on Sunday.

Event info: The Civic Center is home to a 2,000-square-foot Art Gallery that offers local and regional artists a professional venue in which to display their creations. The exhibits, which rotate every six weeks, bring new life and vitality to the Art Gallery and expose visitors to new techniques, ideas and the beauty of all varieties of art. On the opening night of each new exhibit, an artists reception is held with refreshments, live music and an opportunity to meet and greet the featured artist.

Port St. Lucie Green Market

Movie Madness

After the Bell

Date(s): Held on days that public schools are closed (with the exception of city-wide holidays such as Thanksgiving day when all city offices/buildings are closed)

Event info: For children ages 6 to 15, this program provides a place for children to play on public school scheduled days off. Activities will include: arts and crafts, sports, gameroom events and more. Lunch and snacks are not provided so please bring your own. Children will be divided and placed in age appropriate groups. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Shake Your Tailfeather 5K run

Event info: Join this exciting pre-Thanksgiving Day 5K run, which begins at the Civic Center and loops through City Center streets to Walton Road, Lennard Road, Tiffany, Village Green and back to the Civic Center to the finish line.

Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners and to the top three runners from each age group, both male and female.

T-shirts and race numbers may be picked up on race day from 6:30-7:45 a.m. in Village Square at the Civic Center.

All runners must sign a waiver and release form to be entered into the race. A parent or guardian’s signature is required for those under 18 years of age.

Winter Wonderland Light Show

Festival of Lights and Annual Tree Lighting

Event info: Join us to celebrate the holiday season with live music; kids’ activities; vendors selling great food and arts and crafts; and much more.

From 2 to 4 p.m., have your picture taken with Santa. Parents, bring your own camera.

At 6:15 p.m. the annual Port St. Lucie Parade of Lights will travel through the streets of the Civic Center, featuring floats, youth groups, bands, and, of course, Santa.

At the conclusion of the parade, the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place, followed by a fabulous fireworks show that will light up the night sky.

Mens Scrooge Shoot-Out 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Port St. Lucie Community Band Holiday Concert Extravaganza

Event info: This popular holiday concert extravaganza is back, with two shows; the first at 2 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. The 2 p.m. concert is for the whole family, and includes a visit from Santa. For the first time, a buffet lunch or dinner will be offered prior to each show.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center, with a limited number being sold. Tickets will only be available at the door on the day of the concert if seating is available.

Santa’s Workshop

2010 Pentathlon Winter Games

Event info: Welcome to the first of many Civic Center games, for ages 15 and up. Gather your friends together for this exciting Pentathlon, featuring team events such as tug-of-war, a one-mile relay race, basketball, volleyball and dodgeball. Each team must have four people to qualify. Sign up as a team or alone, and we’ll match you with a team. The overall winner receives a three-month Recreation Membership to the Civic Center.
