Public invited to attend free workshop on zoning requirements for Enclosed Assembly Areas

The public is invited to a free workshop on zoning requirements for Enclosed Assembly Areas (churches, daycares, social facilities and fraternal halls) on Friday, Feb. 10 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Building Department's First Floor Training Room in the City Hall Municipal Complex, Building B, 121 S.W. Port St. Lucie Blvd.

The workshop will focus on

  • Recent zoning changes that affect Enclosed Assembly Areas
  • Define what an Enclosed Assembly Area is, where they are permitted, and where they are allowed as a special exception use
  • Explain the special exception use application process
  • Discuss other issues that may exist when changing the use in a building
  • Meet individually with staff to discuss your project

Space is limited, so you are encouraged to RSVP by Friday, Feb. 3 to ensure a spot at this workshop.
