Walmart cashier charged with 10 counts of theft, fraud

On Jan. 14, Port St. Lucie Police Officer Timothy Herring arrested Amanda Lynn Nunez, 19, of S.W. Abisco Road, charging her with 10 counts of grand theft and fraud for allegedly loading pre-paid Visa cards worth $500 a piece, and not paying for the transactions. Read more

Police dog nabs car burglar after woman spots suspect in her car

On Jan. 8, at 4:40 a.m., Port St. Lucie police officers arrested James Foley Ball, 25, of N.W. Rockbridge Court, charging him with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and resisting an officer without violence after he ran from police who were responding to a vehicle burglary call. Read more

Port St. Lucie Police investigating couple abducted from their home

On December 4, 2014 at around 3:00 pm, Port St. Lucie Police went to the area of 700 NE Little Kayak Point to investigate a kidnapping. Police met with the victim, 63 year old male, who told police that he and his wife were abducted from their home, which is located in the 700 block of SW Broadview Street in Port St. Lucie. Suspected car burglar arrested on Rasardo Street

Officers arrested a suspected car burglar Dec. 8 in 3500 block of SW Rasardo Street, charging him with two counts of burglary of a conveyance, loitering or prowling, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription after Mayberry was caught in the area of two car burglaries.
