Marty Edwards – Administrative Assistant
I was out of the office on a personal matter for two months. Ms. Edwards was able to step up during my absence for all Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful issues. Ms. Edwards conducted various meetings and began planning the Annual Cleanup Day which resulted in one of the largest turnouts thus far. She did all of this while working just part time. Ms. Edwards has increased the adopt-a-street groups by 20 percent over the last year and has seen an increase in the number of groups conducting cleanups. Having cleaner streets improves operational efficiency of the litter crew. Ms. Edwards continues to work with the school district’s science curriculum specialist to use our educational materials in each classroom (K-6th grade). This was an original idea she developed to get our message reaching further into the schools thus having a positive effect on our Department and the City.
