Warehouse/ Procurement Division
The Warehouse division is responsible for the warehousing and distribution of all materials held in inventory necessary for the installation and connection of new water and sewer customers. This division is also responsible for materials used for preventive maintenance activities and general water and wastewater treatment facilities repairs and maintenance used by the Utility. This includes pipe, fittings, hydrants, valves, grinder systems, and consumable supplies, with a total on-hand inventory of approximately $1 million for any given month. The warehouse also receives and distributes non-stock items used in general operations. Other responsibilities of the warehouse include the creation of purchase order requisitions, management of the Utility's procurement card system, general accounting, and coordination with the City's Office of Management and Budget in the development and administration of Utility Contracts. Currently, there are seven employees dedicated full-time to warehouse operations who include the Warehouse Supervisor, five Warehouse Technicians, and one Buyer.
