The City of Port St. Lucie invites you to join the growing ranks of volunteers who are helping to make contributions to our great city every day.
We are proud of the many ways in which members of our community step forward to make a difference as volunteers for the city.
Listed below are just some of the departments that regularly have volunteering opportunities available. Follow the links to learn more about a specific department. Note: This list is not meant to be inclusive—there are many other departments throughout the city that make use of the time and talent of volunteers.
Volunteers for the city will be expected to follow certain general guidelines and in some cases more specific requirements set by individual departments.
You will also be asked to submit an online application so we can better fit your talents to the volunteer opportunities available. Paper applications can also be obtained at the Civic Center and Community Center. Remember, you must be at least 16 years old to serve as a volunteer.
The Volunteer Specialist will contact you to set an appointment to discuss your interests. Once that appointment takes place, and if it results in your placement as a volunteer, completion of a volunteer packet and a background check (that may include fingerprinting) will be required.
