- Introduction: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Winterlakes Neighborhood Park Provides Residents “A New Opportunity to Play and Stay Fit.”
The City of Port St. Lucie invites residents to celebrate as we break ground on construction of the 28-acre Winterlakes Neighborhood Park in the community of Torino.
City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department will host a ceremony on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 10 a.m., at the park, 5241 NW Jannebo Street. Residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
“The City’s newest park will provide our residents with a new opportunity to play and stay fit,” explains Sherman Conrad, Parks and Recreation Director. “This will be the City’s first neighborhood park since the construction of Woodland Trails Park in 2018.”
This non-lighted park will feature two practice baseball/softball fields, a basketball court pavilion, dog park, fishing will be allowed, 10 fitness stations, an open-space multipurpose field, a large group pavilion, four pickleball courts, playground, two restrooms (ADA compliant), two tennis courts and a walking/jogging trail around the park.
Construction of Winterlakes Neighborhood Park is expected to be complete in early fall 2020.
