It’s Game On! This July at the City of Port St. Lucie
PORT ST. LUCIE – Summer is here, which means it’s time to get out and explore great things happening at your local parks & recreation centers. This July, join in on the fun and games offered by local parks and recreation with the City of Port St. Lucie as they celebrate Park & Recreation Month.
Throughout the month of July, one FREE class in one of our many City Recreation staff-directed programs is available for those who come to either the Community Center, Civic Center, or Minsky Gym. Come join the fun at our centers and get your GAME ON!
The City of Port St. Lucie will celebrate Park and Recreation Month through a variety of offerings, like our Freedomfest Fourth of July Celebration, our new Rock Steady Boxing program, Yoga, new playground at Lyngate Park and so much more!
2019 Freedomfest – our Annual Fourth of July Celebration held on Thursday, July 4, 2019, from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center Village Square, 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place. This year’s event features Majesty of Rock, a Journey tribute band, arts & craft vendors, food & drinks for purchase and one of the largest fireworks display on the Treasure Coast, beginning at 9 p.m. (weather permitting). Rock Steady Boxing– a new program that gives people with Parkinson’s Disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum. Offered on Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays between the hours of 1:15 – 3:30 p.m. at our Civic Center Recreation facility. For more information on this program, please call 772-807-4499.
