Game On: Video Game Tournament - Our First eSports League

The Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce a partnership with Mission Sports to introduce an esports League to the City of Port St. Lucie. Our first esports leagues will begin the week of May 4, 2020 (for Madden 20, FIFA 20 and 2K20).

Additionally, we will be offering Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Rocket League and MLB The Show 20, beginning the week of May 19.

All of our leagues are free to join and registration is now open!

All games are played online. Participants must have all applicable hardware, software and online access to compete in the leagues. Parents, be sure to check game content ratings before allowing your children to register for a league.

To register for a league

  1. Download the “Mission Control GG” app
  2. Open the app
    • Create your profile
    • Join our “Organization.” Organizations are listed alphabetically. Scroll through to find “Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation”
  3. Register for a league(s) in a game you own and play. Make sure you select the correct console!
    • Invite your friends!

Once you have registered, each week, you can:

  1. Check the app for your next matchup (“View Matchup!”)
  2. Reschedule your game, if necessary (“Postpone”)

On game day

  1. Go online/meet up for your game at your scheduled time
  2. Play your game on your console or PC
  3. Afterwards, submit your score in the app (“Add Score”)
