Port St. Lucie seeks to select an artist with artwork that is either already fabricated or can be fabricated for the purpose of enhancing the aesthetics of Port St. Lucie. With the mission, vision, and goals of the City’s Strategic Plan as a guide, the artist’s work should engage visitors, create a sense of community, and be appropriate for all ages.

The City has determined that art should be planned as an integral part of the City. Enhancing the visual quality of the cityscape will add to our residents quality of life and raise the level of awareness to the importance of aesthetic experiences in their everyday lives.

To further this goal, the City Council established the Public Art Advisory Board. The Board presents a Public Art Master Plan for review and approval by City Council and recommends specific public art projects, including the selection of works of art. The Board is comprised of seven members who serve on a voluntary basis.
