Utility Systems is expanding and upgrading the Prineville site where the water treatment plant and administrative offices are located.
Improving the site includes closing off Gulfport Terrace and Ogden Lane to build new entrance gates, constructing a new maintenance building and mobile generator storage building, and adding improved parking and storm water retention ponds.
Beginning the week of July 9, 2019, Ogden Lane and Gulfport Terrace will be closed permanently to non-utility related traffic. However, Prineville Street and Greenway Terrace will remain open to public traffic.
More information about the site upgrades can be found in the project presentation.
The Maintenance Building frame is up and the Generator Building steel started going vertical in early March. The culvert installations on Greenway Terrace and Prineville St. are complete. The project is on schedule and is 35% complete.
Residents and those passing through this area can
expect heavy truck traffic during this time, as well as demolition and excavation work.
The project is expected to be complete in September 2019.
