Utility Systems is proposing to replace an outdated sewer force main in the Southport area with a new backbone 24-inch force main in order to provide adequate capacity.
The force main runs south from Tiffany Ave. at U.S. Highway 1 through the Saints Golf Course and Sandpiper Bay neighborhood to the Southport Wastewater Booster Pump Station located on S.E. Pine Valley St.
The project is anticipated to run from February 2019 to August 2019 and is subject to change.
Utility Systems is dedicated to providing outstanding service to our customers and the proposed replacement will be a tremendous benefit to this neighborhood and the City as a whole, by assuring that the sewer pump stations are able to operate as efficiently as possible.
A public information meeting about the Southport Backbone 24-inch Force Main was held at the Port St. Lucie Community Center on January 30, 2019. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with the project managers and view location maps.
