A passionate advocate for veterans, David is an active member of several veterans organizations, holding various leadership roles, including serving as the National President of the Korean War Veterans Association. He also founded the Gulf Iraq Afghanistan Veterans Association (GIAVA), a veterans organization focused on those who served in the Middle East wars, with a primary emphasis on addressing veterans' mental health needs. David was one of the driving forces that helped to bring two veteran monuments to Port St. Lucie. David also coordinates all of the local veteran memorial programs within the city.
In 1992, David moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he became deeply involved in the community. He volunteered as a baseball and football coach and served on the boards of several local sports organizations. His commitment to civic duty extended to organizing a local cleanup team for the "Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful" program.
David ran for office in 2020 and is entering his second elected term. He is dedicated to advocating for clean water initiatives, particularly stormwater management and septic-to-sewer conversion. He also focuses on improving infrastructure, including road widening and enhancing overall community mobility. David is also an advocate for smart growth within the city.
