Port St. Lucie invites community to Memorial Day ceremony

The City of Port St. Lucie invites the community to gather for a Memorial Day service honoring the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military. This annual ceremony provides an opportunity for residents to come together in remembrance and reflection as we honor the legacy of our fallen heroes.

When: Monday, May 25, 2026, 10 a.m.

Where: Veterans Memorial Park, 2100 SE Veterans Memorial Parkway, Port St. Lucie

Why: Memorial Day is a time for the community to unite in paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation. This meaningful service ensures their courage and dedication are never forgotten.

Attendees will hear from distinguished speakers, including retired Army Maj. Frank Castro, who will share personal reflections on the importance of honoring fallen service members. The ceremony will feature musical performances by the Port St. Lucie Community Band, including patriotic selections “God Bless America” and an armed forces medley. Guests also will observe solemn traditions, including a rifle salute, the national anthem and the sounding of taps.

Mayor Shannon Martin will join other local leaders in attendance. John Ramos, U.S. Army, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

As seating is limited, attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own chairs.
