Utility Systems Department launches Lunch and Learn sessions

What: The Utility Systems Department offers free quarterly Lunch and Learn sessions designed to give residents clear, practical insight into essential water, sewer and storm‑readiness topics.

Each session provides easy‑to‑understand information straight from subject‑matter experts, helping the community stay informed about the systems that keep Port St. Lucie running smoothly.

When: There will be four sessions scheduled for 2026-27. Each session will take place between noon and 1 p.m.

Oct. 5, 2026: Cease the Grease – Learn about the effects of fats, rags, oils and grease on the water and sewer system.
Jan. 26, 2027: Sewer Systems – Discover the different types of sewer systems in the City and recommended practices for proper maintenance.
April 5, 2027: Storm Preparation and Recovery – Learn how the Utility Systems Department prepares for and responds to storms.
July 6, 2027: 100,000-Plus Connections – Explore the history and future of the City’s Utility Systems Department.
