Volunteer Tax Assistance Available for St. Lucie County Residents

The 2026 tax season is officially open, and there’s no need to worry about complicated or costly tax preparation—United Way is here to help!
United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee is dedicated to supporting local families by offering free tax preparation services, making the process easier and more affordable.
You have two convenient options: Our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides in-person tax assistance, while MyFreeTaxes.com offers a user-friendly platform to file your taxes for free online.
Assistance will be offered at the following locations:
Port St. Lucie Community Center

- February 9 – April 8
- ***CLOSED on 2/17/25 for President’s Day***
- Open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Available for residents who make less than $69,000 annually.
- Walk-Ins only.
