California Boulevard Widening Project Public Meeting

What: The City of Port St. Lucie invites residents to learn about the future plan to widen California Boulevard from St. Lucie West Boulevard to Crosstown Parkway. The plan is to widen California Boulevard from two to four lanes and include improvements to the intersection of California and St. Lucie West Boulevard. 

When:Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Where: Manatee Academy K-8 School, 1450 SW Heatherwood Boulevard, Port St. Lucie 

Why:The City is organizing a public meeting to inform residents about the planned widening of California Boulevard, expected to be carried out in the fiscal year 2026/27. The proposed improvements aim to address the current traffic volumes while maintaining the neighborhood's integrity. The project includes:

• Various safety enhancements.
• Better pedestrian and bicycle access.
• Reduced congestion.
• More efficient traffic flow.
