It’s budget season for the City of Port St. Lucie and residents will have an opportunity to learn about the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and ask questions at two new informational sessions.
The two budget informational sessions in August, including an in-person and a virtual option, will be held from 6-8 p.m.:
The City invites residents to one of these two informational sessions to learn more about how the proposed budget was developed, how tax dollars are used to provide services and programs for the community, infrastructure needs, and more.
For more information about taxes, residents can use the City’s Balancing Act Receipt Tool to receive an estimate for what they contribute to the City and what their taxes pay for. The online tool allows users to input their property's taxable value and receive a “receipt” that shows how a resident's property tax dollars are being spent on City services such as police, parks, utilities and public works. Visit www.cityofpsl.com/taxes to use the tool.
