St. Lucie Public Schools Announces Hurricane Milton Closures

St. Lucie Public Schools and District Office will be closed Tuesday, October 8 through Thursday, October 10 due to Hurricane Milton. Any district sponsored after-school activities and extended day activities will continue as planned today. These decisions were made based on the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center and in coordination with the Emergency Operations Center. We anticipate resuming normal operations on Friday, October 11.

Although our area doesn't expect any major impact until later Wednesday, it is important to prepare our schools to potentially shelter our community through a dangerous storm. 

Hurricane Shelters at Fort Pierce Westwood Academy and Treasure Coast High Schools will open on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. in conjunction with the St. Lucie County Emergency Operations Center.
