The City of Port St. Lucie recently launched a new webpage dedicated to providing U.S. military veterans with access to helpful information and resources in one location.
The Veterans Connection page can be accessed at cityofpsl.com/veteransconnection and underscores the City’s commitment to supporting those who have served our country in the armed forces.
The page features information tailored to veterans and their families, including resources, community events, newsletters and connections to local veterans organizations. It also features a list of veteran-owned businesses, highlights parks with memorials, and offers insights about veterans programs.
City Councilman David Pickett, a veteran of the U.S. Army, was instrumental in creating the page.
“The Veterans Connection page is designed to make it as easy as possible for veterans to find organizations that can offer access to resources and to connect with other veterans,” Councilman Pickett said. “Port St. Lucie has long had a reputation for supporting our veterans and this is one more way that we can show our continued gratitude for their service.”
