As Thanksgiving approaches, the City reminds residents of changes to the solid waste collection schedule:→ Monday, Nov. 24, through Wednesday, Nov. 26, will be collected as scheduled. → No collection services on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27; landfill is closed.→ Thursday’s customers will be picked up Friday, Nov. 28.→ Friday’s customers will be picked up Saturday, Nov. 29.

As hurricane season approaches, the City of Port St. Lucie is hosting its annual Hurricane Preparedness Expo – a free, family-friendly event designed to connect the community with businesses, emergency providers and essential resources to prepare for extreme weather.
The Expo takes place Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, located at 9221 SE Event Center Place in Port St. Lucie.
The event will feature informative presentations from meteorologists, emergency managers, City staff and local organizations, all focused on ensuring residents have the knowledge and tools needed for hurricane readiness. That includes:
