St. Lucie County and the Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Working Group, which includes municipalities and community partners, are updating the county’s Unified Local Mitigation Strategy, a state- and federally required plan that identifies local hazards, prioritizes projects and ensures eligibility for funding to reduce disaster impacts.

Community feedback is essential to this process. Residents are encouraged to share their experiences, concerns and ideas to help guide updates that strengthen resilience across all neighborhoods.
