The City of Port St. Lucie to host 9/11 Ceremony

What: Join the City of Port St. Lucie for a morning of remembrance at the Memorial Fountain at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center. This community gathering honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and offers a space for reflection, unity and tribute to our nation’s resilience.
When: Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, 8:30 a.m.
Where: Memorial Fountain at MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 Event Center Place, Port St. Lucie 34952
Why: This annual Remembrance Ceremony serves as a time for our community to reflect and pay tribute to the victims, heroes and survivors of 9/11. This year’s program will feature remarks from Port St. Lucie Police Chief Leo Niemczyk and St. Lucie County Fire District Capt. Jason Kershanick. Port St. Lucie Mayor Shannon Martin will serve as master of ceremonies, with an invocation delivered by Port St. Lucie Police Department Chaplain Nick Manzie.
Participants in the ceremony include members of the St. Lucie County Fire District, Port St. Lucie Police Department and St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to gather inside the Event Center for light refreshments.
