The Preserve
The Preserve is a 13-acre conservation area and scenic preserve that offers residents and visitors a peaceful retreat to relax, walk trails, and enjoy the outdoors – right in the heart of the city.
Located at the southernmost point of The Port District, 2454 SE Westmoreland Blvd., the Preserve features peaceful walking trails, scenic boardwalk connections and nature overlooks along a wetland, creating an immersive experience for residents and visitors.
It also connects to the existing boardwalk along the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, which spans more than three-quarters of a mile – perfect for a tranquil stroll through nature.
This project is part of the City’s Naturally PSL: Green Spaces and Places Initiative, which supports increasing residents’ access to parks, trails and natural areas, connecting them to the environment and enhancing quality of life.
A ribbon cutting was held on March 4, 2026. Construction on the Preserve began in August 2025 and was funded through the Parks Impact Fee Capital Improvement Project and a grant from the Florida Inland Navigation District.
