PSL City Hall Field Trip Days invite students behind the scenes
Published on January 22, 2026
The City of Port St. Lucie is hosting City Hall Field Trip Days, giving students a hands on look at how the government closest to the people serves the community.
Designed for schools and homeschool groups, these two special days offer an immersive opportunity to explore how City government works and how its services connect to the things students see and use every day. This year’s field trip dates are Wednesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 15.
During the visit, students will rotate through interactive stations, meet City staff and discover how departments—from public safety to public works—help keep Port St. Lucie running smoothly. The experience is designed to spark curiosity, build civic understanding and show young residents how local government impacts their daily lives.
To ensure fairness and access for all interested groups, this is a new process designed to give everyone an equal opportunity to participate.
How to sign up
Teachers and group leaders are encouraged to plan ahead. The deadline to submit a request is one month before the desired field trip date. Space is limited, and early coordination ensures the best experience for participating students. Teachers also will need to coordinate their own transportation and food arrangements for their group.
