Citizen Summit 2026

Port St. Lucie residents are invited to help shape the City’s future at the 2026 #IamPSL Citizen Summit, a fun, interactive event that’s not your typical government meeting.

This popular drop-in experience is packed with activities for all ages and gives residents a chance to share feedback on the future of their City, speak one-on-one with staff, and hear what is happening across Port St. Lucie.

The 2026 Citizen Summit will take place:

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 7
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Location: Community Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd.
  • Admission: Free

There will be interactive activities that help develop the City’s Strategic Plan, giveaways and refreshments, games and activities for kids. Attendees who provide feedback can receive a T-shirt while supplies last.

“The Port St. Lucie Strategic Plan guides the City's future and is updated every year with input from City residents,” said Kate Parmelee, Deputy City Manager for Strategic Initiatives and Chief Innovation Officer. “Every year our residents offer new ideas, identify their priorities and share what matters most to them, which guides the City Council and City Team as we work to enhance the quality of life in Port St. Lucie. By attending the Citizen Summit, residents can truly be co-creators of their City's future.”

The Citizen Summit isn’t just about ideas – it’s about impact. Past Summits have led to resident-driven initiatives such as:

  • Naturally PSL: Green Spaces and Places, Green Spaces and Places, which was created in response to feedback from the 2023 Citizen Summit and was announced at the 2025 Citizen Summit. Naturally PSL is helping to expand parks and preserve natural areas based on community input.
  • The Port District, which opened in June 2024, was created after hearing from residents who wanted more recreational access to the St. Lucie River.
  • Infrastructure projects, including expansions and improvements of roads, sidewalks and more, were developed and prioritized based on resident insights.

This year’s theme celebrates Port St. Lucie being named an All-America City by the National Civic League, one of only 10 cities in the nation to achieve that recognition last year, an honor influenced by resident engagement at past Citizen Summits. It’s a chance to provide input, enjoy a fun day with family and neighbors and celebrate what makes Port St. Lucie an All-America City.
