The City of Port St. Lucie's Convenient Drop-off Center will soon adjust operations to streamline services while ensuring usage is for residents only.

Effective Wednesday, May 14, operating hours will be Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This adjustment aligns with the county’s landfill hours.

Beginning June 30, the following changes will take effect at the Convenient Drop-off Center, 1501 SW Cameo Blvd.:

  • Yard waste and construction materials will no longer be accepted.
  • Residents will be limited to three trips per month.

The changes will eliminate commercial waste dropped off by contractors and landscapers at the site, ensuring that residents have priority access. These changes are also necessary to help reduce operational costs while increasing capacity for bulk waste management.

Residents will be able to deposit flattened cardboard, indoor and outdoor furniture, appliances such as refrigerators and ovens, and exercise equipment.

Vehicle restrictions:

  • Vehicles to deposit bulk waste will be restricted to trailers eight feet or under.
  • Larger vehicles with excessive amounts of debris will not be allowed to use the Convenient Drop-off Center.
