*The free fitness membership is considered a taxable benefit under the IRS. The $20.05 monthly value of the paid membership amount is considered W-2 wages. If employees participate in this benefit, their paycheck will show a tax deduction for the applicable taxes only (Federal Withholding, Social Security, and Medicare) based on the total value of the membership and the employee's wages. The City cannot determine set values for Federal Withholding amounts because it varies depending on the employee's W-4 elections; an estimate of the monthly fee for this benefit is between $2-4 per month.

Transparency in Coverage
Visit Florida Blue's Transparency in Coverage webpage to access files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes in-network negotiated rates for covered items and services, and out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services, between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
