All building permit applications, forms, and supporting documents must comply with the 8th Edition of the Florida Building Code.

Notices of Commencement (NOC) must be recorded with the St. Lucie County Clerk of Court, either at:

  • St. Lucie County Clerk of Courts - South County Annex, 250 NW Country Club Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986, or
  • St. Lucie County Clerk of Courts Main Office, 201 South Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34950

A copy of the recorded NOC must be submitted to the Building Department before scheduling any inspections.
