Housing Programs

House

The Neighborhood Services Department oversees housing programs and works year-round to leverage grants to fund City projects and neighborhood programs. The division plans and administers federal, state, local and other types of grants for the City at large. These programs help expand the City’s ability to complete improvement projects and encourage City staff to pursue external funding opportunities responsibly.

Current Statuses

Neighborhood Stabilization Programs

In response to the Great Recession, the City received grant funding through the Neighborhood Stabilization Programs (NSP1 in 2008 and NSP3 in 2011). The City is in the process of closing out both programs. NSP3 funds have been fully expended, while the remaining NSP1 funds will continue to support the Homebuyer Assistance Program.
