Historic Homes The Port The Historic Homes are located on the Westmoreland Middle Tract, near Port St. Lucie's Botanical Gardens at the southern end of The Port District. The 1952 Peacock Lodge (2,611 sq ft) and the adjacent 1917 Peacock House (2,378 sq ft) add a significant historical touch to the area.

With a grant from the Florida Department of Historical Resources, these historic structures were relocated from western Port St. Lucie to the property near the North Fork of the St. Lucie River in 2018. Post-relocation, each building received updates, including secured access, updated foundations, new shingle roofs, and a fresh coat of exterior paint.

In 2022, the City of Port St. Lucie contracted New World Builders of DeLand to refurbish the Historic Peacock Lodge. The Lodge features the Port St. Lucie History Museum and Education Center, along with a gift shop managed by the Port St. Lucie Historical Society. It also offers meeting and office space.  Future renovations to the 1917 Peacock House are included in the City's Capital Improvement Program.
