Americans with Disabilities Act

The City of Port St. Lucie is committed to implementing the intent and spirit of the ADA, which went into effect on January 26, 1992. Child Registration

If a parent or guardian is unable to register their child for a program, they may authorize another adult to complete the registration process. This designated adult may also register their own child(ren). However, only a parent or legal guardian may sign the waiver form required before the child can participate.

Please register your child only for age-appropriate classes. Age guidelines are in place to support effective instruction and, in many cases, to ensure your child’s safety. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Program Updates & Corrections

We do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information about programs and events; however, occasional changes to schedules, fees, or offerings may occur. The Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to make updates as needed and appreciates your understanding.

Canceled Classes

Some classes may be canceled on holidays. Please check with your instructor or call the appropriate facility if you have a question. City holidays are also noted on the city's calendar.

Classes and programs require a minimum number of participants to proceed. If that minimum isn’t met, we may cancel or postpone the session. In such cases, all registered participants will be notified and issued a full refund.

Refund Policies on Registration Procedures

Your satisfaction is important to us. All refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the first class meeting date for classes that meet more than once. If a registrant attends more than one class, no refunds will be given. If the city cancels a program or class, refunds will be issued. All summer camp refunds will be subject to a $15 refund fee. Refunds may take up to three weeks to process.

Chapter 96
