Reservations are available for athletic fields, RV sites, campsites, pavilions or special events on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be arranged at the Parks & Recreation Guest Services Desk, located at the Community Center, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.

Acceptable payments tenders are cash, check and credit card. All fees are subject to the Florida Department of Revenue Sales Tax according to Chapter 12A-1.001. Tax-exempt, non-profit and travel ball groups/teams must provide a copy of exemption paperwork when making reservations.

Athletic Fields

Weekday athletic field reservations must be made three days prior to the reservation date, not including the date of the reservation. Weekend athletic field reservations must be made before 8 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the reservation date.

Park Pavilions

All park pavilion reservations can be reserved by 8 p.m. the day prior for next day reservations, provided payment and applicable paperwork is received.

  • Neighborhood parks: reservations are accepted 180 days (six months) in advance per the participant limits set for each site.
  • Community parks: Playing fields and pavilions may only be reserved up to 90 days in advance.
  • Please note Sunday pavilion reservations are not available at Veterans at Rivergate Park, Veterans Memorial, Tom Hooper River Deck or Rivergate Boardwalk.

Special Activities Planned

  • Reservations that include Bounce Houses & Pony Rides must be identified at the time of reservation and must be approved by the Parks & Recreation Department. After confirmation, such uses will only be considered if policy requirements can be met. Requirements include hold harmless agreement must be completed by the name of the person who is on the park reservation only, and the company hired must be on our list of pre-qualified vendors.
  • Water activities or amusement rides are prohibited
  • Personally owned, non-commercial items and Domestic Petting Zoos are prohibited
  • Liability Requirements:

    • All entertainment vendors must be pre-qualified through our Parks & Recreation Department with proper insurance and required documents provided by the reservation holder. The entertainment vendor must have all the required licenses and certifications necessary to perform this work.

Personally Owned Amusement Items

  • Use of third parties’ personally owned non-commercial operated amusement items are prohibited

Payment of Fees

  • All park reservations must be paid in full at the time of reservation

Tournament Fees

  • The Assistant Director or his designee must approve all tournaments. A facility request form must be completed before the reservation can be confirmed

Holiday Reservations

  • City holiday reservations will be subject to an additional 50% rate increase
  • Holidays including official city holidays are as follows: Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day
  • Reservations for New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day will not be accepted

Alcohol Beverage Consumption Permit

  • The cost for an alcohol permit is $29.67. This is for manned community parks only and does not allow for any sale of alcoholic beverages. Inquire at Guest Services regarding the state sales license.
  • Host liquor liability insurance is required listing “The City of Port St. Lucie, its officers, employees, and agents are listed as the additional insured including the name of the person that rented the park, park name, date, and time of reservation on the policy.
  • Police Officer(s) may be required and will be paid for by reservation holder.

Additional Services

Manned Facilities:

  • 300+ attendees require verification by the Parks & Recreation Department’s Administration. An additional service charge may be applied
  • Reservations requiring a Police Officer:
    • Reservations based on attendance and/or alcohol use will be required to secure and pay for an off-duty city police officer(s) to be at the park on the day of the reservation. Policy requirements can be provided by Guest Services
    • A separate check must be made out to the City of Port St. Lucie Police Department

The Parks & Recreation Department has the right to rescind reservations based on the observation of “excessive attendance.” If the reservation attendance exceeds the amount signed off on at the time of reservation, park staff will document the violation and notify Guest Services. The contact person listed on the reservation will have their account flagged and documented for future reservations. If necessary, staff may be required to call for police assistance.

Fees Waived for School Usage

  • Schools, by virtue of the statutory definition provided in Chapter 1003, F.S. § 1003.01, whether they are private, charter, or home schools, will receive free usage of City of Port St. Lucie facilities. City facilities are limited to sports fields only and do not include other amenities such as gyms, pavilions, community center or civic center.
  • St. Lucie County School District, through the execution of an interlocal mutual use agreement with the City of Port St. Lucie, must follow the guidelines established in the agreement in order to have fees waived.
  • All schools captured in the statutory definition above must provide Parks & Recreation staff proof that they are registered with the state in order to have fees waived.
  • School usage is limited to “group” usage rather than “individual” usage.
  • Fees for field reservations, whether they are private, charter or home schools, may be considered waived. However, fees for the lining of fields and usage of lights apply to school usage and are due to the City of Port St. Lucie upon reservation.
  • All requests to have fees waived by schools will need to be submitted in writing and must include required documents, prior to being considered for approval by Parks & Recreation staff.

Noise Ordinance #91-43

  • Noise levels (i.e., music, announcements, etc.) could be in violation of Ordinance #91-43. The guest is responsible to obtain a noise permit through the Police Department prior to the event’s scheduled date as directed

Refund Guidelines

  • The guest must notify Guest Services located at the City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department Community Center either in person or via telephone number 772-878-2277 for refund inquiries
  • If contact is made 15 days prior to the event, the guest will receive a 50% refund
  • If contact is made 14 days or less prior to the event, the guest will not be eligible for a refund

Rescheduling Guidelines

  • The guest is permitted to reschedule one reservation at no additional charge if the request to reschedule is made 14 days prior to the reservation date, not including date reserved
  • If necessary, rescheduling a reservation for the second time for the same event, the guest will be charged the full amount of the new reservation unless there are extenuating circumstances that will require approval from the Assistant Director, Parks & Recreation Department or his/her designee
  • Staff had to cancel the event due to a site situation or condition
  • The guest’s reservation will not be rescheduled if the team/group members could not make the reserved date, arrived late for their show-up time without notice or the guest believed there was inclement weather at the park

Inclement Weather Conditions

  • The guest must call 772-878-2277 for cancellation, refunds or rescheduling
  • Park staff must confirm inclement weather conditions (i.e., rainouts, lightning storms, winds 25 mph or greater)
  • Requests will only be approved if the guest notifies the Guest Service Desk within five days after the reservation, not including actual date reserved. Refunds will not be allowed once the reservation extends beyond the 5th day
