Laboratory & Compliance
The lab is certified by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) and can test for a wider range of contaminants than sending samples to contract laboratories, thus saving the City money while producing highly accurate results.
This division is responsible for:
- Sampling, testing of water, wastewater treatment facilities, environmental sampling, water distribution system, wastewater collection system and deep injection wells
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory agency permits
- Maintaining backflow preventers
- Testing residential water meters
- Systematic water main flushing
