What is reclaimed water?
Reclaimed water is highly-treated wastewater, repurposed for irrigation of lawns, golf courses and residential common areas. By using reclaimed water, we reduce the strain on our potable water supplies and support sustainable growth in Port St. Lucie.

Safety & Quality
Reclaimed water is safe for irrigation. It undergoes rigorous treatment and testing, meeting all Florida Department of Environmental Protection standards. Our state-licensed staff ensure compliance and quality every day.
How to use reclaimed water
- Use only for irrigation—not for drinking, cooking, bathing, recreational activities or edible crops.
- Never connect reclaimed water systems to drinking water or sewer lines.
- Adjust sprinklers to prevent overspray and runoff.
- Follow South Florida Water Management District guidelines for responsible use.
Community Impact
The Glades and Westport Wastewater Treatment Plant both provide over one million gallons of reclaimed water daily to golf courses and residential communities, including Floridian Golf & Yacht Club, Santa Lucia Golf River Club, Tesoro Club, Veranda Gardens East, Veranda Gardens West, Veranda Gardens Estates and Copper Creek.
