The Utility Systems Department offers free quarterly Lunch & Learn sessions designed to give residents clear, practical insight into essential water, sewer and storm‑readiness topics.

Each session provides easy‑to‑understand information straight from subject‑matter experts, helping the community stay informed about the systems that keep Port St. Lucie running smoothly.

2026-27 Schedule

All sessions are from noon to 1 p.m. at the Community Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd.

Oct. 5, 2026 – Cease the Grease: 
Learn about the effects of fats, rags, oils and grease (F.R.O.G.) on the water and sewer system, how the Utility Systems Department manages these challenges and what residents can do to help.

Jan. 26, 2027 – Sewer Systems:
Discover the different types of sewer systems found in the City of Port St. Lucie and recommended practices for proper maintenance.

April 5, 2027 – Storm Preparation and Recovery:
Learn how the Utility Systems Department prepares for and responds to storms, along with key information residents should know before and after weather events.

July 6, 2027 – 100,000+ Connections:
Explore the history and future of the Utility Systems Department, where it started, current operations and how it is planning for future growth.
